Friday Fun! ‘Cause you know we need it!

Mommy (after waiting for five minutes to turn left into the school car line): There sure are a lot of cars.

Charlie: They’re not cars, Mommy. They’re mosquitoes.

Mommy: Mosquitoes?

Charlie: Not posquitoes. Mosquitoes.

Mommy: Oh, not posquitoes, huh?

Charlie: Yeah, they’re feet.

William (who just learned to ride without training wheels): “The first step to riding a bike is to keep balance. Step thirty-four, is to ride on a roof. Step googolplex, is to ride up a tree. Step one thousand is to ride on a leaf.”

Because in William’s world, one thousand is way bigger than a googolplex. 😉

Charlie is lazy about potty training. We’ve tried everything to motivate that kid. So, to our surprise, one Sunday during worship service, he whispered that he had to go potty – and he did! Properly! We made a big deal about it and bought him chocolate ice cream to celebrate. So the next day, I tried encouraging him and explained that if he told me he had to go potty again that I would give him more chocolate ice cream.

His response?

“I don’t want chocolate ice cream.”

I think I earned a few more gray hairs in those six words.

Mommy: Are you ready to go get a cheeseburger?

Charlie: I don’t want a cheeseburger.

Mommy: Then what do you want to eat?

Charlie: A hamburger with cheese on it!
